What are the next places where we might be able to create this kind of synergy between job creation, industry research and transformative education that will allow us to build a truly amazing future for our university and our state. We've identified a group of areas where we're strong on the research side and where there is the potential to do more. And some examples this is an in progress list, but they include clean energy and energy storage research, fusion research, climate change and sustainability, quantum science, possibly semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, especially in relationship to imaging and data analysis.
