To engage across difference in a civil and constructive way, students need to build the skills and to have opportunities to do that and to engage in high quality discussions with one another. Our School of Education has created a discussion project that's both a professional development course and a research project that has taught over 800 instructors across our campus. And it's also been engaging at some sister campuses as well to help instructors learn how to design and facilitate powerful discussions. (38:04–38:16)
