Well, I will come right to the point, John. I was disappointed and angry that Republicans forced this false choice on us. An impossible choice between reopening the government and affordable health care. And The promise they made to the eight who decided to go along with their continuing resolution was that we would have a vote on continuing the health care subsidies or tax credits. And that wasn't good enough for me. In fact, it was downright unacceptable because I was totally unwilling to go along with a vague promise to have a vote at some point in the future on an undefined bill. (13:21–13:37)
