This is obviously an enormous issue here in Connecticut. Explain exactly what this would do and how it would bolster current US Law. Very simply. Chris Murphy and I have been working on this bill for a very long time. I was working on it as Attorney General back in the 1990s and he and I have been working together to expand background checks to unlicensed sales, I.e. sales by people who are not licensed gun dealers.
