I'm already dreading the drive home and that's not for another three hours. Now we are also following a developing story that I first broke on social media a couple of hours ago. A Milwaukee police officer is, as I understand it, still in surgery or possibly just out of surgery after he was shot and badly injured by a suspect who even amidst the snowstorm was out near 27th and Wisconsin brandishing a long gun believed to be an AK47 or an AR15. I actually have a picture posted of that suspect from security or ring doorbell footage that was obtained by one of my law enforcement sources of the suspect waving that gun in the air. (01:20–01:44)
