The people of Iran, many of whom I've met, are great people, and they deserve far better. But None of that justifies a President waging war on another country without congressional authorization. That's fundamental to our Constitution. That is a direct requirement of our law. And this president has not done that. And so I have opposed him and this war because I believe it's unauthorized.
