Our federal permitting process is broken, and we need real changes to cut government red tape for good. This Congress, we took first steps in cutting red tape, streamlining project approval in the Fiscal Responsibility act. And We’re working together on the House Resources committee to see how we can add to the permitting reform package that the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has now agreed to. We need regulatory certainty. It needs to take less time to grant a permit. The permitting process needs to be free of political interference. (07:20–07:31)
