Laws and regulations like the gdpr, the Digital Services act, the Digital Markets act are long overdue, and I commend everyone who has fought so hard to advance them across the Atlantic. But we can't overlook the fact that Many of the biggest contributors to the current broken system, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, Google are American companies. And it's incumbent on America to get off the sidelines and take responsibility for the deeply flawed incentive structures that have helped them grow to what they are today. (11:32–11:41)
