It is filled with amazing people doing incredible things, exploring the universe. And I think it's also true that there was a dynamic that did not necessarily encourage innovation in human spaceflight for many years, because NASA pursued a kind of essentially planned model, and there was kind of a given system, and that was what the entire aerospace sector supported, was that system, in this case, the space shuttle. And so there wasn't sort of that dynamic of competition and innovation. And when we got there in 2008, we wanted to support trends that were already going on to push more innovation and push more competition into the system. (03:47–04:00)
