… probably dozens of people killed every year from wildfires and actually many orders of magnitude more from smoke inhalation. We know that's going to happen with 100% certainty. And yet A lot of our sort of national security conception is focused on foreign threats, which I don't want to denigrate. Those are very important, and we need to spend resources on them, but we really need to make sure that we're taking care of our homeland in this broader sense of security.
