And so I have taken on and agreed to support some bills that are controversial in Orange county, including the lot splitting bill and SB nine and SB ten that were the controversial housing bills last year. And so I think I was the only house, a member of the Orange county delegation to support one of those bills and one of only two to support the other bill. They have gotten me some blowback because people are concerned about the character of their neighborhoods, and I share that concern. But at the same time, we don't want our state to suffer.
