I watched as my mom, Jackie, who's a union nurse, was laid off during the Great Recession and the difference that a union contract made for her as a family, we were going through that tough time. I was very proud to have my friend and endorser of this campaign, Senator Elizabeth Warren, with us here on Monday to meet with nurses right here in Des Moines who are trying to organize themselves.
