Yes, it is a fundamental fact and unfortunately it applies to almost every human dynamic and it certainly applies economically and I could not agree with you more. Free enterprise may not be perfect, but it has dragged more poor people out of the gutter and the clutches of poverty than any other mechanism in the history of man. And somebody said that, you know, it's true that free enterprise is the unequal distribution of wealth at times, but socialism is almost always the equal distribution of poverty. (23:53–24:04)
