We're not serious about continuing to throw money at policing. Police do not keep us safe. Police do not prevent crime. They just address it after the fact. So Every dollar that we can take away from police and put into things that actually reduce crime, those are things like housing and public spaces and mental health. Right. All the things that are, have been defunded for many years because we keep throwing money into police. The better. (26:29–26:38)
