We just didn't increase taxes on people. They could have rescinded any part of the Tax Cut and Jobs Act. They didn't do that. They just kept massively spending and incurring on average about $1.9 trillion in deficit. So again, on a bipartisan basis, nobody wanted to increase taxes on a bipartisan basis. That was the correct choice, and that's the main reason I voted for it. (02:44–02:50)
