And so In the 90s, the Senate was one vote short of sending a balanced budget amendment to the state for ratification. This is when we had a balanced budget. And if that had gone through and been ratified, just think of the difference the trajectory of this country would be on having that balanced budget amendment in place for the last 25 years.
