And it really made it difficult for folks to engage in some of the mining activity that had been happening for many, many years in our state, even going back to territory days and prior. And so The delegation in DC, our delegation started bringing more and more federal dollars back to Alaska as a reaction to our increasing inability to develop our own resources. And they started doing this, and the first one's free and like an addict. Eventually, we became addicted to federal spending. And the problem with this over the long haul, and representative Carpenter is 100% right. (27:29–27:45)
