We didn't like the idea that they had changed the Federal Election Commission from a bipartisan number to a partisan number that would have been controlled by one party or the other all the time. We thought that was a major mistake. We didn't like the idea that the federal government was now going to take on the role of matching small donations to the tune of six to one. so that taxpayers would be funding multiple federal elections at the same time. That money comes from taxpayers who may or may not agree with all of the different candidates that are on the ballot. (17:48–17:57)
