We can make changes in our state by making sure that we are financially supporting our teachers, that we have the score, the ability for collective bargaining and receiving benefits. Where I live on the west side of the state, we are seeing teachers cross the river to go to Minnesota for work and come back to Wisconsin because they can get better pay and better benefits by teaching in Minnesota. And that's just absolutely unforgivable. We have to recognize that teachers have choices that they can go either to another state or to another profession. And that's what we see again and again.
