The first is to require the government to seek a judicial probable cause warrant to query Americans data from the section 702 database. And second, to prevent the government from circumventing the Fourth Amendment by buying Americans data from data brokers. I've advocated for these reforms along with Chairman Jordan and a bipartisan majority of the House Judiciary Committee during the last FISA reauthorization in 2024 under President Biden. And I'm advocating for them again under the Trump administration. Regardless of who or what party is in office, these reforms are necessary to right the balance between Americans security and our rights and freedoms. (09:01–09:13)
