So if you were a drug kingpin or somebody who was wealthy, who committed a crime, you couldn't buy your way out of prison, you were simply detained pending trial. I have been advocating for that kind of change [bail system reform] since I've been in office, and we need to make that change now. Voters elect DAs and counties across the state.
