The Republicans conservative principle has long been let the free market determine what's most reliable, affordable in terms of the energy, not what the government sees as a preferential treatment through tax subsidies. And so Part of this budget framework we put together is to gut the IRA and be able to go in and do some mandatory spending reform. Lastly, I was honored in that Budget Committee process. Once we got agreement from the speaker, the next day we rolled it out with the reforms that some of us helped craft. (05:53–06:01)
