And both social justice and restorative justice have in some ways change laws in a way that may be perceived as fairer to some communities, but those weren't the fixes that we need. Bail reform was not the fix we needed. We needed some judicial reform to hold judges accountable. If they were holding in black and brown defendants, but letting white defendants go for similar circumstances. That is, from my perspective, fair and just. (34:55–35:01)
