And that is challenging. It's also exciting. It's good teaching, and it's a good and needed investment. So this is why our budget proposal includes $750 million of investment in special education. In the first year of the biennium, we will increase special education reimbursement to 45% and in the second year to 60%, with our sights on 90% by the end of the subsequent biennium. Wisconsin families and educators have been calling for reform to our special education funding for decades, and it's past time to make this investment in our students and in our schools and for every single student to succeed.
