It's hard for law enforcement to do that. I mean, it's a term as old as time. You know, the fog of war started off in military, but obviously Policing as we know it is a very modern phenomenon. It only started in like the 1820s or 30s. So a lot of law enforcement terminology comes from the military because it is very applicable when you have those violent, deadly force on force encounters.
