A lot of times many of them are just a couple of years away from getting some sort of, you know, either pension or retirement package or something like that, and they're walking away from it. It takes probably about three years to truly make a good patrol officer. It's probably three to four months before you even go to academy. Just for all of the psych tests and the polygraphs and the screenings and the background checks and all the things that you have go through. (18:58–19:05)
