We have to figure out a way to restore the child tax credit after a string of horrendous acts of gun violence. We passed a modest but really important bill called the Safer Communities act to help crack down on gun violence. Part of its significance is reminding Congress that we can still act in this area and get things done and hopefully giving us the confidence to keep on going and not make that our last act in.
