All of the police turned off their body cams, but the Fire and Police Commission ruled that it was an accident and that independently, 100 people had, uh, just made this move. And, uh, We ended up finding some footage where it was clear that the police knew that I was an elected official and seemed to be targeting me specifically. and made the arrest anyway. We got all of the tickets thrown out, but it took them three years to come to a settlement. (35:56–36:06)
