We're out of good faith arguments for locking up kids and locking up people generally. Right. We know that locking somebody up does not make us safer because we've tried it for so long. We also know it's incredibly expensive fiscally. We know that it harms families. So, you know, the outcome, the unintended consequences, maybe, of ripping, especially somebody who's a breadwinner out of a home and incarcerating them are terrible. (32:38–32:42)
