If we don't pass a tax bill, unlimited salt comes back. The problem is that it would be associated with the largest tax increase in American history. The alternative minimum tax would come back in spades, which would have a negative impact on New York and California and New Jersey. among others. So it's incumbent on everybody to negotiate in good faith here, which is why I've introduced the legislation that I did to lift the cap to, to $100,000 for individuals and $200,000 for those filing jointly.
