I want my kids and every kid to be safe in our communities and I want law enforcement officers to be safe in our communities. That means that we have to invest in proven strategies that actually do that. Unlike what Republicans like Tom Tiffany have done, which is cut funding to local governments and take away local control so that communities don't have the resources to be able to actually solve these problems effectively. I am really proud as the only attorney on this stage to be someone that has fought for and passed criminal justice reforms to make us more safe and more just. (12:54–13:07)
