I know we all wish that we could just focus on reductions in homelessness and crime and on the fastest recovery in our state's history. But the reality is Our city faces a more than an 800 million dollar deficit. Cities like ours are going through challenging economic times. Across the nation. Turmoil and uncertainty from Washington and a slowing economy are causing lower revenue projections to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. (34:47–34:54)
