Chief McDonnell and I stand together in reporting good news. Violent crime and property crime are down in Los Angeles. And this is the result of a comprehensive approach to safety. Last year, homicides fell by 14%. Gang related homicides in communities most impacted fell by 45%. The number of shooting victims fell 19%. And we've intensified safety efforts on Metro.
