We need to start thinking collectively as a state, as neighbors, about what does it mean for the next 10, 20, 25 years. You think about a government building, we start putting those back on tax rolls. In the city of Madison, the return on Investment isn't just 7 years or 10 years or 20 years. It's perpetual. They're forever paying property taxes. And that's a win for taxpayers all across the state. In an effort to recruit workers outside of the Madison area, Governor Evers has taken some steps to make remote work more accessible so that there are more state workers across the state.
