Well, one of my other constituents, Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, who leads Texas largest archdiocese and as Chairman of the U.S. conference of Catholic Bishops on pro life activities, said This legislation will be morally unacceptable unless and until it complies with long standing current laws on abortion funding such as the Hyde Amendment. this legislation should not move forward in its current form. It should be opposed unless such serious concerns have been addressed. Mr. President, I really am staggered at what we are about to witness here. (14:27–14:36)
