I'm also one of the youngest parents in Congress. I got three little kids, so it's personal to me as well. The average American child now spends less time outdoors than a federal inmate. Since 2012, when social media apps on smartphones became ubiquitous, we have seen an alarming decline in mental health. and in young people's sense of self in society throughout America.
