Ultimately, I didn't vote on this version of the NDAA because this NDAA authorizes a $1.5 trillion discretionary security budget. And That's on top of additional $350 billion through the reconciliation process and another 67 billion sought in a supplemental request. I believe in investing in a strong national defense. But more spending, especially discretionary spending, does not automatically mean more security when we're talking about more than a trillion dollars. (02:30–02:40)
