If we're asking our service members to defend our country, they shouldn't have to wonder whether they can find safe, reliable childcare for their kids. Two more of my amendments focus on the health of our servicemen members. One [amendment] looks at improving how we diagnose and treat brain injuries caused by repeated exposure to blasts. Another explores innovative medical technologies that could help treat injuries and potentially reduce recovery time for service members. We also have to make sure that we have a skilled workforce and domestic manufacturing capacity to keep our military ready. (00:57–01:28)
