So that's what I focused on with my amendments. One of my amendments addresses something that I hear about all the time from working veterans families child care. My amendment directs the Department of Defense to develop a strategy for building enough child development centers to eliminate child care waitlists for military families. If we're asking our service members to defend our country, they shouldn't have to wonder whether they can find safe, reliable childcare for their kids. (01:03–01:12)
