The DNR wanted to take the dam out because they like restoring rivers. Well, there might have been some good reasons for that, but the community was not going to let that happen. And Scott Walker came to town and I came to town with him. And both of us committed to advocate for funding in the budget to rebuild that dam, which is exactly what happened.
