All of these strategies are part of our larger effort to improve public safety and drive down crime rates across our city. An issue I ran on and one that still resonates with New Yorkers all across the five boroughs. I'm proud of the historic progress we are making keeping New Yorkers safe. But public safety isn't just about stats. It's about feeling confident that you and your family can go to work, to school, or get on the subway in a safe and orderly city, one where people are being looked after, not looked away from.
