We've ensured correctional officers at both our prisons and juvenile justice facilities receive adequate training and are equipped with necessary equipment to stay on the job. And let me give one big thanks to the General Assembly. Several sessions ago, increased pay has been critically important. Now, it's no secret. If you pay someone closer to what they're worth, more people will want to do that job. We're making progress to stop crimes from happening and to ensure Kentucky is safer for everyone. (33:24–33:30)
