FULL: Mamdani, Sliwa, Cuomo speak at mayoral forum

I think there's a political attitude that is like, well, we want to protect their civil rights, their civil liberties. Bringing them in involuntarily is a civil rights violation. Not if they're mentally ill. The law says if you are not in a position to care for yourself, if you are putting yourself in a dangerous situation, sleeping on a subway, in a corner where you could get mugged or robbed, you are putting yourself in a situation where you cannot care for yourself, that person should get medical assistance and mental health assistance. And are there going to be advocates who yell, yes, but by the way, they're going to be advocates that yell no matter what you do. So do the right thing. (1:45:14–1:45:42)
