Thats why I fought so hard for the medical school program, was that not so we could have a shiny new medical school in the valley, but rather so that we could try to train students from valley backgrounds. The program that we put together actually takes students who grew up in the valley, puts them in something called the San Joaquin Valley prime program into UC Merced for their undergrad. And then it's a package eight year program that includes your medical school education on the back end. That's a combination of UC Merced and UCSF Fresno, where they have a satellite campus of the UCSF medical school. So it's a partnership program with UCSF. (20:40–20:57)
