I think the better question, frankly, that is often lost in our politics is how do we keep those officers on the force? Because when we started running this race, We were seeing about 200 officers leave the department every month. Now we're seeing about 350. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that we're asking officers to do the impossible. We're asking them to not only respond to serious crimes, but also 200,000 mental health calls a year.
