And are you a desi kid? They see desi. It's a word that describes really many of us from South Asia. And that is a big part of my heritage. And I'm proud to be the first Indian American mayor of the city, the first South Asian American mayor. And I think it speaks to the fact that as New Yorkers, we can be many things all at the same time. We can be proud of our heritage and proud of our home. (25:36–25:41)
