Do you think there's a reason for the federal government to increase funding for K12 education? You know, I think it's really the responsibility of the state legislature. What I think the federal government needs to do is fund any mandates that it has imposed on school districts. Look, most of education policy is decided at the local school board level. And state is really responsible for what we call equalization dollars to equalize access to high quality education between low property value areas and high property value areas. (30:12–30:22)
