But even when parents can find affordable Child care, it's often not very convenient. Over half of Wisconsin is in what we call a child care desert. And that's even worse in our rural areas with 70% being childcare deserts. That's of the area of the geography of Wisconsin. I've heard from parents who are literally driving an hour one way just to drop their kid off before turning back around to drive another hour to go to work. (11:07–11:21)
