But what we saw instead was record profits and executives getting lavish bonuses during these times. Exploiting people because of these kinds of market disruptions is wrong and frankly, it should be illegal. And that's why I'm introducing legislation to finally crack down on the corporate greed that we're talking about and to put a cop on the beat to help stop these big companies at the top from taking advantage of hardworking families.
