Part of the problem with 911 is that for a decade Al Qaeda had declared war on America and we just didn't want to admit it. And all of a sudden with 9 11, we realized they really were at war with us. Al Qaeda is metastasized we may have gotten and damaged core Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but now it's into Northern Africa. Syria. Syria. No, it's metastasized. It's an asymmetric threat.
